2011 Carpenter Cup

This is the information for the 2011 Delaware County Carpenter Cup team.  Our franchise consists of players from the Central League and Del/Val Leagues and Sun Valley.

Please be sure you have everything listed and make sure you meet all deadlines!

 

TRYOUTS:                ALL DATES ARE MANDATORY
SATURDAY               MAY 28 @ HAVERFORD    8:30 am - 12:00 pm  (Rain or Shine)
SUNDAY                 MAY 29 @ HAVERFORD    8:30 am - 12:00 pm  (Rain or Shine)

RAIN DATE:       If either of the two dates above are canceled!
MONDAY         MAY 30 @ HAVERFORD    8:30 am - 12:00 pm

PRACTICE:             JUNE 14 @ HAVERFORD    3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
                      Shirts distributed, last minute preparations!

At the completion of tryouts we will read the numbers of the 25 players who will represent the Delaware County team.  Tryouts are based on your performance during the weekend!  Evaluations will be made on a daily basis.  If there are 40 players or less at tryouts, the coaching staff will have the option of conducting a one-day tryout.  Upon announcing the final team, hats, socks and belts will be distributed.  Shirt sizes and number requests will also be taken.

Welcome to tryouts for the 2011 Delaware County Carpenter Cup team.  Our franchise consists of players from the Central League, Del/Val League and Sun Valley.  Please review the material in this packet and make sure to meet all deadlines!

 The outline below should answer any questions you may have:

1)         At the first tryout you must bring the following:

  1. Two checks, both payable to: Delco Cup Team.  A check in the amount of $45, which pays for your own personalized shirt and hat.  A second check in the amount of $10 will cover operational costs and is non-refundable.  If you do not make the team your $45 check will be returned.  Do not combine the Checks!

 

  1. A Signed Release and Waiver Form.  Available here

2)         Profile Sheet – To be completed after tryouts by the 25 players on the team no later than Monday, May 30th.  The website address to access this information is www.phillies.com/carpentercup  If you did not take the SAT’s enter 0.

3)         You must wear plain white pants with belt loops on game days.  Wear your tryout shirt, game shirt, belt, socks and hat.  Belts will be collected upon elimination.

4)         You must be available for all dates of competition listed on the first page.  One loss will eliminate us from the tournament.

5)         No injured player will be permitted to tryout without written permission from a physician.

6)         Tickets are $5 per venue.  Players should arrive at least an hour (1) before scheduled game.  Arrive by 11:30 AM for our first game!

9)         Photo Forms – We will email or give you photo order forms once we receive them. A team picture will take place before our game on June 15.  Individual pictures may be ordered as well.  Bring your photo order form and a check in an envelope with Delaware County written on the envelope and your uniform number.
